Judas Arrieta is one of the most recognized Spanish artist of his generation. He grew up with Kung-fu videos and other Asian popular culture, that are the main sources of his work. His work is effected by Japanese cartoon art, Asian oriental culture and a European way of understanding contemporary art. He combines his influences and uses his unique art language to produce many kinds of different art works. Arrieta's mission is producing art pieces directly related with new ways of understanding art. With his newest projects he tries approaching the audience in a playful and joyful way, using blow up sculptures, wall paintings and toy art pieces. His work is included in numerous Spanish public collections and has been widely exhibited in Europe and Asia. In 2007 Judas Arrieta opened MA Studio, China's first residency program dedicated mostly to Spanish artists.
